Washington, D.C.βThe Associated General Contractors of America (³ΤΉΟΊΪΑΟΝψ) today announced the joint release of the 2007 edition of the Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee (EJCDC) construction-related documents. EJCDC documents are the preeminent standard contracts for horizontal construction such as municipal and utilities construction.

The 2007 edition offers many significant improvements including: β’ Use of ³ΤΉΟΊΪΑΟΝψ 221 Qualifications Statement and ³ΤΉΟΊΪΑΟΝψ 200.1 Materials Price Escalation Clause; β’ Clarified actual knowledge requirement for Contractorβs liability for failure to report discrepancies and conflicts; and, β’ Clarified Ownerβs obligations if Contractors encounter hazardous waste.

While previously an active endorser, the 2007 edition of EJCDC documents marks the first time ³ΤΉΟΊΪΑΟΝψ authored the construction documents as full partners in the drafting process.
